As a therapist and how to look after yourself

As a therapist and treating clients, you have to make sure you look after yourself, even if you just starting out. Start making this in a sense a ritual.

Here a few tips:

1)Decide on a positive mantra, that you feel comfortable with, so every morning when you wake up that's the first thing you say, before you jump out of bed!

2)Always once your dressed and ready to go to work, imagine you have surrounded yourself with a cloak, from head to toe. Especially if your a sensitive therapist and feels all sorts while treating you should always imagine the cloak surrounding you.

3)Make sure when you have a break you take it, and rest even if its for 5 mins.

4)Try and maintain a balanced diet, not only will this do wonders to your health but you will have the correct amount of energy to carry on throughout the day.

5) This tip is I find does wonders, I should of had this number one! Decide on an exercise especially one you feel comfortable with or one you always wanted to start but never did until now! Not only will you feel great after, but this will be your time to let go of the day, also this works wonders on your self esteem and confidence.
